Spectacle of Light at Sudeley Castle

Christmas in the Cotswolds is a magical place. With so many attractions to choose from, there really isn’t any excuse for not doing something festive with your loved ones.

Sudeley Castle is an enchanting visit for families and friends, so I suggested its Spectacle of Light show to three of my best friends for a fun get together.

Christmas Gift Guide For Her 2016

To my friends and family: This post is a spoiler for a few of your Christmas gifts so please do not read any further!

I love the run-up to Christmas and all of the festivities it brings, perhaps more than the day itself. It feels so magical and it gives us a wonderful excuse to spend more time with our loved ones who we may or may not see very often.

6 Amazing Places to Eat & Drink in Sorrento

Sorrento is my favourite holiday destination to date.

Over recent years, Sorrento has become a popular choice for tourists of all ages and it’s not hard to see why. Aside from sun and sea, it boasts the most beautiful views, delicious food and drink and the people are so so friendly. If you haven’t thought about visiting the Amalfi Coast before now, this post may tempt you.

DIY Christmas Gift Jars

The countdown to Christmas has officially begun!

I’m spending this cold and frosty Thursday evening late night shopping with a friend which I’m really excited about. I love this time of year. I’ve been watching the Christmas 24 movie channel religiously for the past month so it’s fair to say that I’m feeling festive. It’s the time to dig out the Michael Buble Christmas album, stock up on chocolate coins and get your shopping skates on to start all that Christmas shopping. This year will be slightly different to usual as I’ve decided to cut back on buying presents…

Autumn at Westonbirt Arboretum

Location: Tetbury, Cotswolds

Autumn, my favourite time of year. ‘Tis the season for cosy nights in and copious amounts of hot chocolate consumption, totally guilt-free of course.

Westonbirt Arboretum in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, is the most stunning spot for a Sunday stroll. Any day of the week in fact, but particularly in autumn.

Cherryade, Poundbury

A few weekends ago I stumbled upon THE most beautiful shop I think I have ever stepped into. You know, one of those hidden gems that you can’t wait to shout about from the rooftops, and on the blog of course. Cherryade is a lifestyle store situated in the heart of Poundbury, a new experimental town that is built on Duchy of Cornwall land, owned by none other than Prince Charles – fancy huh!?

If Nothing Changes, Nothing Grows

If you’ve been here from the start, you’ll have noticed a few changes on the blog over the last three years. Nothing drastic, you know, just the odd modification now and then to make it look a little prettier and to keep up with ongoing blog trends. It feels like the right time to spruce up my little space in the blogosphere, here’s to a new chapter!

In case you missed it, you can read more about why I took a short break here.

Taking a Break from Blogging

Hello! Long time no post. Well, there have been a few sporadic posts here and there. If I’m being honest, and I always try to be on this little corner of the blogosphere, I haven’t been 100% happy with the content I’ve created over the past few months. It’s time to do something different, take a break from the blog and get perspective.

Salted Caramel Brownies from Tanya Bakes

Tanya Burr is a woman of many talents, but it’s her baking book that may be my favourite venture of hers so far. I can’t recall any other book where I have tried, tested and succeeded at so many recipes in such a short period of time – so I thought I would share one of them today. This salted caramel brownie recipe from Tanya Bakes is one my favourites, one I made twice within ten days as it was so popular.
