There was a big hype over the launch of H&M’s beauty line last year & after a few months of resisting the temptation to get my hands on the golden goods – last weekend I caved.

I was spending a couple of days with a friend in Plymouth & I couldn’t resist stopping by my favourite high street store. Initially it was in panic to find something to wear that night but then I came across a large corner of the floor dedicated to their new beauty range. Well, they had me at lipsticks. I wanted everything!

Aside from everything looking super pretty, an Instagrammer’s dream (think of those dreamy flat lays) I discovered a variety of products I had no idea they stocked. As I found myself swatching up a storm, everything from eyeshadows and eyeliners to lip products and concealers, it was of course the lipstick section that caught my attention.

If you’re a regular over here on the blog then you will know how much I love a good fuchsia lippy. I can’t hold back when it comes to pink lipsticks, I probably own every shade there is but still I can’t restrain from buying more. Using a blog post idea as my excuse, I finally chose ‘Last Tango‘. hm-beauty-first-impressions

There’s a colour to suit everyone which is great, but it was this dark fuchsia that made it’s way home with me. For a creamy lip colour the pigmentation is brilliant, which I would expect for £7.99, however I did have to reapply a couple of times during the evening so I would recommend using a lip liner underneath to keep it in place longer.

Overall, I’m impressed. The quality of H&M products, from clothing to homeware, never fails to amaze me – you pay similar prices in Primark where the standard in my opinion is nowhere near as good. I can’t wait to pop by my nearest store again to test out more products from the range (I will have to avoid the lipsticks!)

You can find this lipstick here as well all of the other beauty goodies.
