A couple of weeks ago I picked up this gorgeous gloss by L’Oréal on a complete whim. I was in a Boots store in Devon and felt like I needed a pick-me-up product, something that would make my monochrome attire look a little more colourful. Enter, the Infallible Mega Gloss.

RRP £6.99 (I picked it up on offer for £4.99)

‘Smoke Me Up’ is a ravishing raspberry hue that leaves your lips with a high shine gloss, making your lips look fuller and pout perfect. You can really layer the coats as much as you want but for me one coat does a great job, especially if you don’t want your lips to look too big…or like Miranda Sings. The applicator is lip-shaped to make it easy to apply on the go and it even smells like raspberries!

I am a huge fan of Tanya Burr’s range of lip glosses for their non-sticky, sweet smelling and pigmented formula but I have to say on first impressions I like this L’Oréal gloss a lot. The staying power is good and doesn’t leave any pesky lines around the lips after a few hours, although I have to say the colour does transfer slightly so you are likely to end up with a kiss mark emoji-style print on food, drinks etc. Saying this, plenty of other lip products I own are guilty of this too so don’t let this put you off – perhaps just think twice before applying it right before you eat your sandwich at lunchtime.

Not everybody’s ‘everyday’ colour as it is a statement lip product, their nude pink shade ‘Protest Queen’ is more ‘office/work makeup‘ friendly, but if you follow me on Instagram then you’ll know that I love to mix up brights and bolds for day and night. The packaging is compact and smaller than other similar glosses on the market and there’s an overwhelming 26 shades to choose from! Boots currently have a 3 for 2 on L’Oréal makeup right now so pop in and pick up one (or two) whilst the offer is on.

Have you tried any of the Infallible Mega Glosses?
