I’m FINALLY sitting down and writing about this gorgeous gift shop that I’ve been raving about since my visit last November. I had been planning where to visit for my new series of posts, Hidden Gems of the Cotswolds, and stumbled upon Meggie’s shop online. With a Pinterest and Instagram-worthy interior, it’s not difficult to see why I’ve picked this place as one of my new favourite spots to visit, or why I’m sharing it on the blog and recommending it to you all!

Meggie’s moved to Stow-On-The-Wold in September 2016, after a successful couple of years in Painswick. The first thing I noticed was how personal the shopping experience felt – everything feels very hand-picked – and despite not knowing Meg (only a brief conversation in store), it’s clear she carefully chooses what she sells in the shop.

From cards and stationary to candles and homeware, there’s a real mix of items to take your fancy.  Meggie’s also stock a number of lovely local handmade gifts that you can pop by and pick up or shop online – either way, you’re probably going to leave wanting everything.

Aside from Cherryade in Poundbury (see the post here), Meggie’s is my new favourite go-to for inspiration when it comes to present ideas… or let’s face it, whenever I want to buy myself something pretty.

  1. I was in Meggie’s yesterday but didn’t have a chance to look at all her treasures, so this post is wonderful! Great photos, too.
