Wellington Sunday at The Lygon Arms

For me, Sundays have always been about spending the day with loved ones and taking trips out to different corners of the Cotswolds. There are three key elements to what makes up my perfect Sunday – adventure, lots of laughter and plenty of good food and drink. Not necessarily a roast, but if you are looking for somewhere a little bit special that can offer delicious food and beautiful setting, let me tell you about Wellington Sunday at The Lygon Arms in Broadway.

A Weekend at The Fleece in Witney

It was the perfect time to escape somewhere new, somewhere neither of us had been before, somewhere we could relax. January brought the flu and February brought a busy social schedule, so as soon as March sprung I couldn’t wait to escape Cheltenham for a weekend at The Fleece in Witney…

A Slice of Italy at Fat Toni’s Pizzeria Cheltenham

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to visit Fat Toni’s Pizzeria in Cheltenham.

You may have heard the rumours, and today I can confirm that the rumours are all true. Fat Toni’s is the daddy of pizza. A slice of Italy in your mouth. My new favourite eating spot in town.

Six Years Later

I can’t quite believe it’s been six whole years since I sat down and wrote the first post on this little corner of the blogosphere. Not only have I grown up in that time, but the blog has certainly changed too. From signing off each post with my initials and an ‘xo’ (back when it was popular to put an ‘xo’ at the end of usernames and signing off messages) to going self-hosted and totally winging it with very little help. This platform has always been my go-to space to visit on good days and bad. It’s got me through a lot, which is why this post is more of a ‘thank you’ for sticking with me throughout this time. Six years later and I’m still sat here at my laptop creating content for this small corner of the internet because quite frankly, I can’t imagine my life without it now.

So, to mark 280 posts I thought I would delve into the archives and share with you some of my favourite posts (for new readers and those of you who have been with me for the long haul). Here’s to the next 6 + years…

Breakfast at The Botanist, Cheltenham

One of my favourite things to do on the weekend (or any day of the week for that matter) is to go out for brunch. We are truly spoilt in Cheltenham and across the Cotswolds with food options. Choosing where to eat on a Saturday or Sunday morning can prove difficult with so much choice and that’s before you have to decide on what to eat from the array of delicious breakfast delights. So you can imagine my excitement when the team at The Botanist got in touch to tell me about the new breakfast menu that they’ve just launched and invited me along to try it…

Date Night at Zizzi Italian, Cheltenham

Italian cuisine is my weakness. Pizza, pasta, Aperol Spritz… I don’t think there is any dish or beverage I don’t like. Italy has become my favourite place to visit and let’s not forget to mention my love for Italian leather handbags. So when the team at Zizzi in Cheltenham got in touch and asked if I would like to check out their beautiful newly refurbished restaurant and menu, I took the opportunity to turn it into the perfect date night to spend with my love after a busy week at work.

Confetti Fields, Worcestershire

If you haven’t heard about the confetti fields in Worcestershire, I’m not quite sure where you’ve been. Open for just 10 days at the end of June/start of July, this flower field has become an Instagrammer’s pastel paradise and can be found all over social media. Whilst you’ll have to wait another year to capture the beauty with your own eyes (and cameras), here are a few snaps from my recent visit which may tempt you to add it to your 2019 calendar…

Back Where I Belong

Hello! I’m back where I belong – on the blog and creating content again.

The last few months of my life have been an adventure. The best few months of my life, in fact. After unintentionally taking some time out to immerse myself in living in the moment and not feeling the need to document experiences and thoughts for the blog, I’m ready to return to my little corner of the internet and kick off a new year with fresh new content.

Are you ready?

My Most Worn Pieces: Georgina Bywater Jewellery

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what to share on the blog. With a few foodie posts written, I thought it was about time I mentioned a few of my current favourite fashion pieces, especially as I’ve been quite ‘spendy’ lately. My most worn pieces have mostly involved wearing three items from Georgina Bywater Jewellery – not surprising to many of you who follow me on Instagram. Take a look for yourself at how beautiful the pieces are – and it’s a local Cotswold business too!
