I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again – living in the Cotswolds is pretty awesome. With so many dreamy attractions to visit, weekends around here are never boring.

Yesterday I ventured out into the countryside and there was only one place on my mind…

The colourful Cotswold Lavender farm is located in Snowshill, a lovely little village near Broadway in the Cotswolds, and boasts the most stunning setting for long walks and photographs.

With over 35 different varieties, some 90 miles of rows and 500,000 plants in total, it’s pretty easy to get lost in the beauty of the Cotswold Hills – just be sure to bring a partner or friend for photo opportunities.

I certainly chose a breezy day for a stroll – *cue several almost-embarrassing ‘Marilyn Monroe’ moments* – but what a view!

A picture perfect place to blow away any cobwebs (or an unwelcome hangover, on this occasion).

It wouldn’t be a tourist attraction without a gift shop and tea room, where they do a great selection of savoury and sweet dishes to compliment your choice of beverage. The shortbread is delicious and I’ve heard the lavender ice-cream is worth indulging on. You can visit the distillery before you depart, and even be tempted to pick up a pot of lavender or two to take home with you.

You can spend as long as you want roaming through the fields, but there is a note of caution to be aware of when walking through the delicate rows of Lavender.

Opening times, ticket info etc -> all here.

Happy strollin’!
