As soon as any hint of sunshine comes out, my mood instantly brightens – and the same can be said about spring/summer fashion.
Swapping the thick knits for lighter layers as we crossover to slightly better weather (it’s still England after all), there’s one event that gets me excited for the coming months…
Bristol Fashion Week.
Over the course of five days in April, hundreds of fashion enthusiasts descend on Bristol’s Mall at Cribbs Causeway. I was kindly invited along again to attend the catwalk show on its second day, sporting a hint of pink on my dress and nails in support of Race For Life. Wearing: Miss Selfridge dress, Marks & Spencer boots, New Look jacket
We were greeted with fresh lemonade in milk bottles, Fondant Fancies (throwback to my childhood!) and Krispy Kremes – sweet treats all round!
Last season’s catwalk was so much fun – you can read about that here – I didn’t think it could get any better but judging by the number of photos that I took, apparently it did… I’ll let the fashion do the talking, but my personal favourites have to be the folk romantic style by Jack Wills, denim pieces from Fat Face and pretty much floral everything! The crisp white dresses and floral crowns embody what summer means to me, and it’s got me in the mood to change my winter wear out for brighter lighter fashion items.
