With the recent burst of sunshine to hit the UK, I’m keen to add some Spring style into my wardrobe. Goodbye heavy coats, layers upon layers and winter warmers. Hello pastel hues, cute cardi’s and short sleeves. With this in mind, I have compiled my favourite under £40 dresses for Spring, on a budget of course.
Spring is coming…
New Look
New Look is my go-to stop for affordable fashion. I try to buy my wardrobe staples like jeans, jackets and LBDs from slightly more expensive brands as they do tend to last longer, however when it comes to pieces that come and go dependant on the weather I don’t mind opting for cheaper options. If you follow the trends but don’t fancy paying the big bucks, New Look is your gal.
H&M
Whilst the sizing at H&M is sometimes questionable, it is probably my favourite clothing store on the high street. I recall buying a halter neck monochrome butterfly print dress over 10 years ago and it lasted me forever. In fact, it would probably still fit me now. The quality is good and whilst some pieces can be slightly pricier, I would say it’s worth paying the money. I adore all their midi dresses right now, I just wish my local H&M stocked more as I do prefer trying before buying.
ASOS
I’ve only been shopping on ASOS for the last year. I know what you’re thinking, what planet have I been living on? The honest answer is, I don’t know! I had heard from friends how they would receive the wrong items on a regular basis and the quality wasn’t always great, but after a successful spending spree for some work trousers, I’ve been a fan ever since. The variety is fantastic and offers a second chance at sell outs from the brand’s own website. Currently looking for a dress to wear to an awards ceremony and I know ASOS will have my back.
Can you tell I have a thing for printed midi dresses?
