I’ve never been the girl who buys fresh flowers every week. I’m not particularly great at keeping plants alive (RIP cacti friends), and it’s always much nicer to be sent flowers – don’t you think? There is something special about receiving a beautiful bouquet of blooms, whether it be a ‘thank you’ gesture or just a gift of love.
Whether they are sent from one person to another or simply as an act of self-love (there’s nothing wrong in sending yourself a beautiful bouquet to put a smile on your face, or as a ‘well done me’ celebration), flowers can symbolise and evoke many emotions. An understated gift that can make a house feel like a home or simply put a smile on your face after a long day at work.
I’ve worked with Blossoming Gifts before and loved the service they provided, so when they approached me again I couldn’t say no – especially when it was peony season. They have a number of bouquets to offer for every season, but there’s something special about pretty pink blooms in summer. This particular bunch lasted about 7 days, but like I said above, I’m not great at keeping plants alive…
A little life update…
Life has changed significantly over the last few months, and dare I say it, I’ve never felt happier or more content. I’ve fallen in love, gained a level of confidence in myself that I thought I’d lost a long time ago and managed to organise an event in 6 weeks with no budget. I’m selective with what I share on the blog and my social media platforms, keeping my friendships and relationship offline and choosing to live ‘in the moment’ more. It could be due to a certain birthday coming up that is making me re-evaluate my life choices, but I can’t help but think it’s also down to the love that has blossomed over the last three months.
When a part of your life begins to flourish, you begin to see things in a brand new perspective. What wasn’t there before suddenly gives you something positive to reflect on and smile about. Whether it’s a gift of love, like this gorgeous bunch of pink peonies, or falling in love with someone special; don’t let it go. Hold on tight to it (especially if you have both), as you never know what life is going to throw at you next.
When was the last time you were treated to a beautiful bouquet? Let me know in the comments 🙂
*Blossoming Gifts sent the bouquet for review but as always my thoughts and opinions are 100% mine and I only share what I would purchase myself.
