It’s not often I revolve my entire outfit around a pair of shoes, but these leopard print boots are something special.
It was a beautiful day out yesterday, so after meeting a friend for coffee (and lunch), I met my lovely Mama bear for a stroll around the park. We grabbed a hot drink to keep us warm and soaked up the sunshine.
These boots were made for walkin’…
with a coffee cup in hand, naturally.
If you had a peek into my wardrobe you’d see a lot of monochrome, with pastel shades in between. I’m not one who cares much about keeping up with the latest trends, nor too fussed about wearing a lot of colour. I like what I like, but towards the end of last year I decided to start experimenting more with my style, so I now try to inject a pop of colour or pattern in my day-to-day outfits that otherwise may look a bit dull.
Let me introduce, this gorgeous pair of leopard print boots from Primark!
Can you believe that these cool (and really comfy) leopard print boots were only £12?! After spending a lot of my youth shopping in Primark, I’ve steered away in recent years as I want to invest more in quality pieces instead of quantity. It’s certainly an attitude that changes as you grow older, I remember being at Uni when it was all about the £10 dresses and £3 vest tops. Now, I shop in Primark for trend pieces. Despite being totally obsessed with these boots, I know I won’t worry too much if they don’t last me until next winter. I may fall out of love with them by spring, who knows, they were £12, who cares!
They make the perfect addition to any outfit, I even like to mix it up by wearing a different print in my shirt or scarf. They’re a total statement boot and might be a ‘love it’ or ‘hate it’ piece, but paired with a long coat and crossbody bag you’ll look put together, without lets face it, trying very hard.
Gotta love the classic ‘oh, what’s that on the floor’ pose…
This winter I’ve been obsessed with wearing grey, an obsession that was started by this cropped jumper I’m wearing in this post. It’s cosy and comfy, which is all I really care about in the winter, and it also hides a multitude of sins. Finding a jumper that works with high waisted skirts and jeans can be tricky, but this H&M number does the job perfectly.
Another grey addition to my wardrobe is this long grey coat from New Look, which I found in the sale before Christmas for just under £30. I’ve always admired people wearing these chic long jackets but always shied away from them, assuming you had to be tall to wear them well. Stepping out of my comfort zone and trying this on made me feel more confident, if anything, so when I walk into shops now I’m more open to picking up something that is new and different to anything else in my wardrobe.
This is my go-to winter outfit at the moment, and I’m already looking forward to styling these boots for Spring!
