If I had to name just one ‘celebrity’ who I’ve admired for years, it would have to be Lauren Conrad.

I’m a huge fan of The Hills alumni turned fashion designer, from the days where everyone knew her as The Girl Who Didn’t Go To Paris and her cat eye flick became her signature makeup look – LC is a style icon. Transforming herself from just a reality TV star, through a lot of hard work, determination and a passion for fashion she’s now a successful businesswoman who has stayed in the spotlight for all the right reasons. I am constantly being inspired by posts on her website and her Instagram account is all kinds of dreamy!

Her new clothing line has just debuted on the runway of New York Fashion Week and the collection is nothing but stunning. A gorgeous selection of fabrics including lace, velvet, fringe and florals in an array of pieces, there is something for everyone to fall in love with. Aside from the clothes, let’s talk makeup.

Lauren looked beautiful wearing her classic winged liner, rosy cheeks and a pale pink pout to enhance her simple yet elegant look. As I had some spare time on my hands today I decided to put my own KC spin on it. You can see some of the Lauren Conrad Runway collection and the makeup inspiration behind this here.

This is actually one of my favourite every day ‘go-to’ looks. It’s super easy and quick to create and you can take it from day to night with a simple change in lip colour. I chose not to go for a strong blush on my cheeks like Lauren as I wanted it to look as natural as possible, keeping the cat eye flick the main focus. I added a splash of colour onto my lids using Collection’s nude grey eye palette and filled in my brows for a slightly fuller look to rival LC’s.

I used my favourite Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara on the lashes, giving them lots of length and volume, and by creating a thicker line with Soap & Glory’s Supercat liner it makes it much quicker to apply. Use a pink or peach blush for a more natural way to define those cheekbones, and opt for two shades of concealer – one to cover any dark circles and the other for a highlight.

Just curl a few strands of hair and pair it with Lauren’s relaxed Californian style and there you have it! A perfect feminine and flirty look for all occasions, I’m obsessed.

Thanks LC!
