This week marks seven years since I sat down to write my first blog post. Little did I know that I would still be sat here typing away on my laptop, creating content on this corner of the blogosphere seven years on. So to celebrate, I want to share seven of my favourite places to eat out in Cheltenham. Please note that there are many more I also enjoy visiting, so it was difficult narrowing it down to just seven. I want to give you a broad idea of the many different types of cuisine you can enjoy across the town, whatever the budget or occasion. Some of these are also great date night locations – in case you’re stuck for somewhere to take your other half this Valentines Day!
6 Amazing Places to Eat & Drink in Sorrento
Sorrento is my favourite holiday destination to date.
Over recent years, Sorrento has become a popular choice for tourists of all ages and it’s not hard to see why. Aside from sun and sea, it boasts the most beautiful views, delicious food and drink and the people are so so friendly. If you haven’t thought about visiting the Amalfi Coast before now, this post may tempt you.
Salted Caramel Brownies from Tanya Bakes
Tanya Burr is a woman of many talents, but it’s her baking book that may be my favourite venture of hers so far. I can’t recall any other book where I have tried, tested and succeeded at so many recipes in such a short period of time – so I thought I would share one of them today. This salted caramel brownie recipe from Tanya Bakes is one my favourites, one I made twice within ten days as it was so popular.
Tapas at Pata Negra, Bristol
Finding a lunch spot on a Saturday in Bristol can be overwhelming. There are so many options for a variety of appetites and occasions all over the city, but when friends of mine suggested tapas at Pata Negra a few weeks ago I was excited to try something new.
My Revelation with Volvic Touch of Fruit
I’m a RomCom lover.
Coffee snob.
Wannabe Popstar.
And I’m guilty of filtering photos.
But that’s not my revelation. Read on for the big reveal…
Picnic in the Park with HomeSense
Picnic season in the UK is sporadic. There isn’t a particular month that shines brighter than the other, you just need to prepare yourself for a spontaneous afternoon here and there.
A few Sunday’s ago the sun came out so I made some last minute picnic plans with a friend. We made a quick dash to the supermarket for food essentials before heading off in the direction of our local park.
Summer Cocktails at The Ox, Cheltenham
Summer is officially here… well, sort of! I was kindly invited along a couple of weeks ago to sample cocktails at The Ox in Cheltenham’s new summer menu – an offer I couldn’t refuse!
Afternoon Tea at Jolly’s
A few Saturdays ago I visited the beautiful city of Bath for the day with one of my best friends. No set plans, aside from seeing Jack Savoretti later on that evening (you can read about that here) and hopeful for afternoon tea somewhere. We wandered around before stumbling across this hidden gem…
Alfresco Dining with HomeSense
Recently a few friends and I enjoyed fun, food and frolics by the sea at the Sidmouth Folk Festival. The weather was glorious (before it took a grey turn for the worst the following afternoon, in typical British summertime fashion) so we enjoyed our first evening by the coast sat in the garden with bubbles, sangria, and one helluva fabulous feast!
Quick and Easy Courgetti
Everyone appears to have gone courgetti crazy. I can now count myself as one of them.
