There’s a new steakhouse in town, and judging by the canapes and cocktails I can tell you that Cheltenham are in for a real treat.
Located a few doors down from the new bar Wild Beer Co in Cambray Place, we strolled through the beautiful lit-up patio and down a few steps to be greeted by the lovely Karen. We sipped on complimentary cocktails, a delicious concoction of apple brandy, prosecco and chargrilled pineapple syrup, which set the mood for the evening as we perched on one of the candle lit tables to enjoy our drinks.
Staff served a taste of the menu with an array of canapés as we soaked up the atmosphere and admired the decor, which boasts a stuffed peacock, a large mural on the ceiling and gorgeous wood paneling to name just a few features. The design fits in well within the location of the Cotswolds and I particularly love the frosted glass lights which are attached to vintage china plates, a feminine touch to a steakhouse that sometimes holds a masculine reputation.
If you fancy a bit of a bargain, pop down between 5-7pm where they offer a fantastic early evening deal. For £12.50 you can order a 6oz Rump steak, sauce of your choice, fries and a glass of house wine – what a winning combination!
The menu offers small plates and bites to different cuts of steak for the main course, and a good choice of puds too. With wine, beer and cocktails to choose from it’s the perfect location for dining with friends, family and other halfs.
